The Now: November 9, 2022

I could use a nap right now. Between a long condo board meeting last night and a busy week at work, I am tempted to crawl under my desk for a few minutes. Instead, I will probably use that last packet of instant coffee from my work travel.

Here's where my attention is at:
  1. Website Usability Testing - I have successfully (and finally!) completed two usability tests... out of 15. My faculty testers are showing up as planned; the student testers keep ghosting me. I am 0 for 4 on student testers. To make up for that, I am offering slots to any student who asks. I don't think I will get the full 10. At this point, I would be happy to get 2. On the bright side, the two tests I have done were enlightening. I already have a list of revisions.
  2. Life Maintenance - I'm getting a lot of little things out of my way. Scheduling an eye doctor appointment, putting together a CostCo order, working on my November bullet journal pages, rearranging a closet, dropping off donations, and other things like that. I want to get the rest of the year worked out so that I can go into the holidays with a lower stress level.
  3. Research Assignment Design - We are now joint coding our transcripts. It's a slow process (particularly when Dedoose is being buggy) but far more enjoyable than doing it alone. We mostly agree on the codes - which is awesome. Plus, with three brains working, it's easier to remember what we need to add since we all remember different things.
