The Now: November 3, 2021

Why do conferences always run in to one another. Last week was Internet Librarian and this week is the library marketing conference. As much as I miss travel, I am grateful that I did not need to fly out to these back-to-back. 

Here's what has my attention at the moment.

WORK

• As mentioned above, I finished my attended at the IL conference and rolled right in to the marketing conference. Thank goodness for recordings! I'll be reviewing the sessions I could not attend live.
• I need to debug some code. For some reason, my template code is making it impossible to edit the pages I apply it to. Need to figure that out before we go live. I've been reviewing things and haven't found the problem yet. I have set aside all of tomorrow to work on this. Hopefully, I can figure it out without having to call in backup.
• Three more sessions left in our webinar series for the semester. This one is pretty much in hand, so I am going to start planning our spring series. That one is going to be focused towards faculty at the ACRL Framework.
• Lots of changes at our library. We're gearing up for a (temporary) relocation so our space can be remodeled. We also have two open positions we will be hiring for soon. So, cue the meetings and strategic planning.

PERSONAL

• Doing a lot of email clean out. With all of our family in town and just a lot going on, my personal inbox got a bit crazy. Might need to start unsubscribing from things again...
• Set up my bullet journal for November. Hard to believe there are only two months left in the year.
• Is it too early to start planning for the holidays? No? Good. Because I am.
