The Now: May 29, 2024

I didn't get a chance to post last Wednesday because I was in, what my coworker delightfully called, "weather-related travel purgatory." Let's just say I was shocked I made it home because my day was 15+ hours of rebookings (I stopped counting after 5) and a flight diversion to Austin. Always call the rebooking phone number! So much faster than waiting in line for a customer service rep.

Here's what I'm working on:

1. Short Video Plan: We really (really) need to start creating more short-form video content for our library. Now that it's summer, I finally have time to create a strategic plan and idea list. I also put in a request to purchase some stuff that will make this work easier. Now if only I could get more people to agree to be on camera...
2. Content Prompt Changes: While stuck on airplanes, I used my time wisely to make changes to my Content Prompt newsletter. I updated all my templates, brain dumped some topic ideas, and will send out my first special issue next week.
3. Pool Time: We opted to buy a family pool membership from a local hotel. This past weekend, we went twice. Our kiddo has a couple of daycare closures this summer so I made a notes in our calendar to take her to the pool on those days. The Husband also made an excellent spreadsheet so we can see if we got our money's worth. No use in buying this again next year if there are cheaper ways to take a dip in the water.
