The Now: February 2, 2022

This past weekend, I had my kiddo make some art to decorate my cubicle walls. (She appears to be in a spirograph period.) I hung her pictures up on my walls this week and they make me smile. Plus, they are a lot nicer looking in the background of Zoom meetings than the gray fabric walls.

Here's what else has my attention. 

WORK

• My month is now chock full of research interviews. Five of them. That might not sound like a lot but, when you consider the prep work and transcription, that's the bulk of my work right now. 
• I've got a few library instruction classes coming up. Some of them are live, some are recorded. Working on slides and scripts.
• I think I'm about a quarter of the way done with converting our LibGuides to the new template. It's not hard work, just lots of clicks. It's been a good project to do while listening to podcasts. As I've been doing this, I realized I want to add a lot more "color" to the site in the form of photos and graphics. That's a "someday" project.
• Two sessions down in our spring webinar series and give more to go. They've been engaging which makes them fun.

PERSONAL

• Set up my bullet journal for the month, but I need to start filling in tasks, events, and goals. Going to see if I can force myself to do more stuff offline.
• The light in our bathroom died. We're in the process of finding a new one to install. At least we had a work task light on hand to brighten the space until we get the new fixture in.
• My email backlog is back with a vengeance and I never started on my Feedly. Thinking of doing some deep unsubscribing to help me out of this.
• We held our annual family meeting. Afterwards, I created project cards in Trello and put deadlines on my calendar for the actionable items.
