Kid Reads: May 16, 2024

I read a lot of books with my kiddo. Kid Reads is a biweekly look at what we've enjoyed recently. 

DC Super Friends: Hero Story Collection

For whatever reason, kiddo has been excited about reading superhero books. This one is fine. It feels a little bit like a knock-off. The simple reading is great for the kiddo but makes it a bit of a boring read for me.

For a kid who doesn't like scary things, she sure does love scary books. Kiddo plucked this one off the library shelf on our last trip and has had me read it to her several times in the past few days. I think part of her enjoyment comes form the fact that she inherited her dad's stuffed Scooby-Doo. As for the story, it's all over the place - just like the cartoon.
