Kid Reads: March 7, 2024

I read a lot of books with my kiddo. Kid Reads is a biweekly look at what we've enjoyed recently.

No Jumping on the Bed
Tedd Arnold

This is a cute story about a kid who jumps so much on the bed that he breaks through the floor of his apartment building. Then he keeps going from the top story to the basement picking up people and things along the way. This is a fun one to read because there is a lot of internal rhyming.

At the Zoo
National Geographic

When I was young, my grandmother kept a small bookcase of kids book in a guest bedroom. I would curl up next to it and read everything. This book is from that collection. Kiddo loves all the pop-ups and tabs to pull. Even though this title over 30 years old, most of the information holds up.

The kiddo is FINALLY enjoying my favorite picture book. Her copy is actually my childhood copy. This story has rich illustrations with so many details I'm still finding new things. It's also hilarious. I love using a deep, booming voice for the king.
