Just Good Things: September 29, 2023

I took the kiddo to her dentist appointment this morning. The entire walk there, she entertained herself by taking beads off a pipe cleaner (she had previously made a bracelet) and then putting them back on again. I miss those days of simple enjoyment, but I'm glad I get to see her experience them.

Here's what else made me smile:

• The kiddo's adorable new kitty dress
• Big salads for lunch
• Getting more out of a conference than I thought I would
• Lazing about a HUGE hotel room all by myself for a few nights
• All my flights were on time
• Chatting with the husband about how AI impacts both our industries (or jobs have these weird connections and I love it)
• Sautéed greens with bacon
• Kiddo to me the night I got back from my conference: "I'm going to hold your hand tight so you can't go away."
• Petting the friendly dog who lives two doors down from us
