Just Good Things: June 7, 2024

Kiddo's daycare is closed and I decided to take the day off. This morning, we went to CostCo together for a much needed stock-up run. Thank goodness we nabbed a spot in our building's lot because our trunk was FULL. It even took two trips to get everything. That's what happens when you buy five pallets of beverages. Our fizzy drink needs are now fulfilled for a few months at about the quarter of the cost of the grocery store.

Here's what else made me happy:

• I got one quiet weekend morning to myself
• Ad libbing a new recipe and having it turn out great
• Avoiding the rain
• Introducing the kiddo the bowling and claw arcade games
• Kiddo winning three (!!!) balls from one of the claw games...
• ... and giving one of the balls to a friend who didn't win any
• Venting with colleagues about bureaucracy
• Discovering a show I wanted to watch is on one of our streaming services
• Sending Instagram reels to my besties
• Walking around our home barefoot
