Just Good Things: June 23, 2023

In news of an unfortunate nature, it looks like the AC unit in our bedroom (which we only replaced two years ago) is getting ready to kick the bucket. I was in a Zoom meeting when I heard a clatter and then it seemed to stop working. I turned the unit off to finish the meeting. When I turned it on again, all the modes and functions worked fine, but the fan was much louder. 

Unlike when this happened last time, the units are actually available for online purchase and delivery. This unit has been a bit wonky since the day we got it. It's sister unit in the living room works fine. We just decided to replace it before the DC summer really set in. Fingers crossed the delivery window of this week holds.

Here's what was good this week:

• My proposal to speak at the 2023 Library Marketing and Communications Conference was accepted! I'm going to attend even if the University can't cover the cost. I love this conference!
• We gained access to Disney+. Let the nostalgic movie viewing begin!
• Kiddo finally watched something that is NOT Daniel Tiger. I don't mind Daniel Tiger, but I like that we are getting some variety.
• A woman on the metro said that I seemed like an amazing mother.
• Kiddo got her first haircut.
• Enjoyed a mother-daughter restaurant brunch
• Coffee gelato
• Had our home professionally cleaned
• Got to see the red pandas at the zoo
• My best friend joined the kiddo and I for an excursion to the National Gallery of Art.
