Just Good Things: December 8, 2023

I've decided not to add anything new to my work plate for the rest of the year. I will focus on stuff that needs to be resolved now that the semester is ending. It feels good to set that mental boundary for myself.

Here's what else made me happy this week:

• Hallmark Channel Christmas movies
• Spending extra time with my husband
• Kiddo snuggling a soft ornament as we decorated the tree
• A neighbor offering to babysit so we can have a night out
• An empty laundry room just when I need it
• Freshly laundered sheets and towels
• Painting
• I successfully parallel parked in one attempt
• Kiddo is a big fan of her two (!!) advent calendars
• Sharing memes with colleagues
• Poking around the archives at work
• Being able to reuse previous holiday party lists
