Just Good Things #11

I am writing this from my home office where I now need to toss a blanket over my legs to stay warm. I've got a hot coffee in the mug on my desk, and I'm wearing cozy slippers. I don't hate it.

Here's what was good this week.

• One of my favorite fiction podcasts, Mission to Zyxx, parodied "Last Single Saturday Night" at the end of their most recent episode. It was fantastic!
• The husband and I got to enjoy a hotel night to ourselves while the grandparents babysat our kiddo. We want on a long walk, enjoyed wine and cheese at the Kennedy Center, and ate dinner at a pub while watching the Notre Dame football game. 
• Sleeping in and waking up without an alarm.
• Our kiddo went trick-or-treating for the first time. Once she got over the confusion, she loved it and started saying "other house!" 
• My library holds came in on the same day so I only needed to make one trip to pick them up.
• Lucked in to free parking at work on the one day I needed to drive in.
• The new couch for our kiddo's room arrived. It looks great and falls into the "firm comfy" category. 
• I got to put up my first book display for the library since the pandemic started. I missed this form of creativity.
• The new plant we got for our kitchen is doing well. It's a crispy wave and I love the look of it.
• I had to debug some coding for the new webpage and it turned out to be a simple fix. Huzzah!
