The Man Who Made Lists: Love, Death, Madness, and the Creation of Roget's Thesaurus Joshua Kendall I'm only squeezing in a few days with this book as I wait for my next library hold to come in. It's fine. There has been far more family history than information about the thesaurus. But, that history is doing a good job of shaping the environment in which Roget was drawn to his work. That said, the writing is a bit plodding. I can almost feel the author flipping through the material he found in an archive somewhere.
