Are you nervous about the election on Tuesday? Same. Hard same.

Here are some things you can do to help keep your election stress and anxiety at bay:
  • Don't turn on the news
  • Super clean a room in your home
  • Bake something
  • Break out a complex jigsaw puzzle
  • Go for a walk while listening to your favorite podcast
  • Wash your walls
  • Start a game of Monopoly
  • Put in some ear buds and zone out to ASMR videos
  • Spa night - complete with bubble bath
  • Share some hilarious videos in the group chat
  • Pickle some red onions
  • Make a blanket fort, grab some snacks, and binge your favorite show
  • Curate and organize your digital photos
  • Clean your grout... by hand

If all else fails, you can always go to bed early and just hope to wake up to the news you want to hear.

Whatever you do, do not go down the rabbit hole of state board of election websites. Just trust me on that one.

How are you coping?

  • My mom was swayed by an ad for a CharBOOterie board she saw on social media. As a gift, she sent us the small board since our kiddo loves "snack dinner." It was fantastic. There was a great mix of flavors including a few surprising bites I will include on future DIY charcuterie boards. We're already planning on getting one for Christmas. [Boarderie]
  • One night, I tossed together skillet shrimp fajitas. While we do stuff the filling into tortillas, I think it would be great over rice. This one is heavy on the veggies. Just make sure you give the onions a chance to get brown. It's better. [Taste & Tell]
  • I've been raiding my kiddo's Halloween candy haul. There is a notable dearth of Reese's products this year. It's disappointing.
