I get a lot of random emails for people with a name and/or email address similar to mine. Every week, something that is clearly not random spam lands in my inbox. I presume this happens because someone mistyped an email or misread a handwritten form. The perils of being an Me(a)g(h)a(y)n(n).

I find these diversions entertaining. My favorite was a series of emails each with a personal image of an adorable dog attached. I've also received welcomes from wildlife organizations, local stores, food purchases, and clothing retailers. There is one recipient who, given the various senders, has political interests that are quiet divergent from my own. Another recipient must be a staunch defender of the second amendment.

After a brief moment of amusement, I just delete these emails as they hit my inbox. (Although the person sending vacation photos did get a response that they had the wrong address.)

Anyone else enjoy these email antics?

  • I had no expectations whatsoever for Greenland 2. Which is, to say, I expected it to be pretty bad. To enjoy this at all you  just have to let the made up science and non-sensical amount of remaining supplies wash over you. Don't question the logistics. It will make your brain hurt. About a third of the way through our viewing, the husband noticed the style felt like a video game. Once you see that, you can't unsee it. There were even POV shots. [HBO Max]
  • Occasionally, the husband gets on a video game kick. He's been in the mood to play GTA 5. Since we only have one TV, I treat this like a second screen TV show. It's more fun than you'd think! I end up being a passenger princess on a wild road trip. Since I'm not driving the (often stolen) car or caring about the plot, I get to enjoy the beautiful scenery, fun gags,  and little details. Also, love the radio stations that show up. [Rockstar Games]

  • We started letting the kiddo plan one meal each week. This week, she wanted ravioli. I whipped up cheesy skillet ravioli. I picked this because one of the ingredients is mushroom which makes this more than just a pasta dish. I pre-boiled the ravioli but you could follow the directions and make it a true one pan dish. [Budget Bytes]
  • For my lunch meal prep I was craving beets. I tried chickpea, beet, and cucumber salad for the first time. This one was really good, even if it required a trip to another store to get my hands on some farro. I loved the chewiness of the farro and earthiness of the beets. I did add Dijon to the vinaigrette. Goat cheese would have been a fantastic addition to this dish. [Eating Well]
