The Weekly Wrap: March 16, 2025

For the holidays, we added snowflake window clings to all of our windows. While we took down the rest of our decorations in early January, the window clings remain. I figured they were wintery and our kiddo loved them.

But now it's March and we've already hit 70 degrees. It's time for these window clings to come down, but I can't be bothered.

I wonder how long I'll let these linger. If it's anything like the winter-ish covers we have for our throw pillows, it'll probably be sometime in July.

Why is it that the simplest tasks get put off the longest?

  • We thought Traitor was pretty impressive. First, the cast is amazing. Next, you don't really know what side Don Cheadle is on until almost the end. Even once you do know, the plot keeps you guessing.  This had the perfect level of deliberate pacing that ratches up the tension. While the husband did call the ending, it's not telegraphed like it is in other thrillers. [Amazon Prime]

  • I'm trying to find ways to get our kiddo to eat leafy greens. Spinach and tortellini casserole helped me make a valiant effort. While the kiddo did pick out the actual spinach, she couldn't avoid the spinach that was inside the tortellini I used. She, dare I say, even liked it. Win! This was really tasty and I will make it again. Plus, it made enough for lunch leftovers. [Eating Well]
  • For my lunch meal prep, I mixed together cranberry-walnut chickpea salad. Instead of mixing in separate chopped walnuts and dried cranberries, I used a bag of salad topping that was walnuts and dried cherries. The end result gave Waldorf salad vibes. I served this with pocketless pita and it was a perfectly filling lunch. [Eating Well]
