I'm keeping this short because, this morning, I dropped my husband and kiddo off at the airport. They're on their way to Myrtle Beach for the week while I stay home for work.

After I finish some laundry, the rest of the day is to treat myself. I'm going to luxuriate in home spa goodies while eating way too much from a charcuterie board. Then, I'm going to watch some bad TV while loafing around on the internet. It's the perfect way to relax before what is sure to be a crazy week at my library.

  • David is making me hungry again. [David Lebovitz Newsletter]
  • A syllabus for generalists. [The Syllabus Project]
  • I've never had or even heard of torrontés, but now I must try it. [Wine Folly]
  • Simple changes for better compliments. [The Atlantic - gift link]

  • The famous Frenchman who became an honorary American. [Noble Blood]
  • I kind of want to watch this movie now. [Hot and Bothered]
  • You can probably get a better savings account interest rate. [The Indicator]
  • Air conditioning is a solution and a problem. [The Daily]

  • The family four-digit code - definitely real. [@wizardofha]
  • Now that the Olympics are over, we are back to making our way through Felicity. We've entered season four and I don't get why she loves a toxic guy. He's violent and impulsive, and she just keeps forgiving him. Also, none of the professors come off as good teachers. They all seem out to get their students. At this point, this series is too dramatic for its own good. [Hulu]
  • I'm very into all the Bama Rush content as if it were a returning TV series. I'm glad Anne Helen Peterson provides a daily curation of material or I would be overwhelmed.  [@annehelenpetersen]

  • I didn't have to meal prep this week. Instead, I ate a variety of leftover wraps from our kiddo's birthday party last weekend. My only complaint is that the roasted veggie wrap needed a hummus or dressing. It was a bit dry. Surprisingly, a bowling alley provided decent food. [Bowlero]
  • I've been trying to cycle more beans into our diet. This week, I made shrimp and white beans with spinach and tomatoes. It was delicious. I did reduce the recipe to one can of beans since only two of us were eating it. I bet this would be good with other proteins. [the kitchn]
