The Now: October 9, 2024

I love my job most days. Today, however, I adore it! One of our new librarians has a kitty and we decided to bring her to the library to capture some video content. While little kitty was here for only 30 minutes, I got to scritch her chin and pet her incredibly soft fur in between video takes. She was the cutest!

Here's what else I'm working on:

1. Goals and Objectives: As  a faculty member, I am required to submit goals and objectives for each academic year. It's mostly a lesson in cutting and pasting from previous years, but this requirement also forces me to think about what I want to accomplish. This year, I added more material about video content, exhibits, and partnerships. Now that we're settled into our remodeled library, it's time to expand our reach.
2. Presentations: With three presentations on my horizon, I'm working on a lot of slide decks and notes. I also got to submit my SWAG swap details for the Library Marketing and Communications Conference. Also, since I can't help myself, I'm working on two more conference presentation submissions.
3. Selling Kiddo Stuff: For whatever reason, I'm finding it difficult to off-load our kiddo's old crib, linens, and monitor. Going to try again by making it a free batch of goodies to pick up. Once this group of material is out of our condo, I'm going to tackle the stroller. We haven't used that for about two months.
