The Now: November 13, 2024

I'm attending the Library Marketing and Communications Conference this week. It's two days of library excellence and information sharing. I adore this conference. Every session is applicable and it's wonderful to be in a room of librarians. While the vibes of this conference are a little different than past years, this is a group that is all about helping each other out. I needed to be immersed in this space of kindness this week.

Here's what I'm working on:

1. Conference "Stuff": On top of attending this conference, I'm taking notes of actionable things to tackle when I get back. I'm also making plans to review the sessions I could not attend, recommended materials to review, and items I want to share out to my colleagues.
2. Work From Home Planning: We're headed to my in-laws for Thanksgiving week. I still need to work Monday through Wednesday, so I'm making a list of materials I can tackle while WFH. Its going to be a lot of file/project clean up, odds and ends, and prep work for next semester. I really need to get our spring semester webinars set up...
3. Working Out: I have not worked out routinely in a few months. Weirdly, I kind of miss it. I'm using my solo time at the hotel to get back to my workouts. I know that consistency will be tough through the end of the year, but at least I can do something.
