Kiddo has made huge strides in reading independently this year. (Thank you, kindergarten teachers!) While she's a long way off from reading chapter books, she can get through most Level 0 and pre-reader books on her own right now. When we last went to the library together, she grabbed a ton of phonics readers. The stories are wild because it's more about letting the kids sound out the words for themselves. This is one of her preferred readers at the moment. The two stories make little narrative sense, but the pride our kiddo gets in reading aloud almost everything by herself is worth the zaniness.
