Just Good Things: June 21, 2024

It appears my laptop dislikes this heat wave even more than I do. The fan on it is working overtime. I was worried it was going to conk out during my conference presentation today. As a precaution, I stuck an ice pack under the intake area. That seemed to help. As an added bonus, my keyboard is now propped up at a pleasant angle. I might need to track down a stand.

Here's what else was good in my week:

• Riding a carousel (twice!) with the kiddo
• Hit inbox zero (for all of a night) but I hit it!
• Clean annual skin check from my dermatologist
• Enjoying lunch outside before the heat hit
• Bridgerton season 3
• Living in a highly walkable neighborhood
• Kiddo using her horse stuffy as a model to draw a picture
• Drinking a Coors Light after a long day of solo parenting
