Just Good Things: July 12, 2024

It's finally raining! Normally, I would grumble about a gray and dreary day. Not today. DC has been in a heat wave and a flash drought. We need every bit of precipitation we can get.

Here's what made me happy this week:

• Watching our Venus fly try unfurl new arms
• Streaming the Tour de France while I work
• Getting great questions during my library instruction session
• I had another conference proposal accepted!
• Living a block from a public library branch
• Oaky chardonnay
• Loving my current read and looking forward to new chapters every night
• Kiddo bringing home a 10+ inch pile of books from the library
• Sharing my experience with an MLIS grad student
• Making Cuban sliders for the first time
