Just Good Things: January 24, 2025

The deep freeze in DC is supposed to thaw a bit this weekend. I'm glad because the bridge sidewalk we use every day is a sheet of ice. Our kiddo has done a great job of not slipping but I look forward to striding with my confidence soon.

Here's what else is making me happy:

• Getting dinner out with a friend
• Prosecco cocktails
• Caught up on my podcasts
• Knocking a few tasks off my work needle list
• New winter boots
• Having a weekday lunch out with my  husband
• Upgrading my plastic water bottle to a metal one
• The Commanders won their playoff game!
• My new cozy cable knit sweater
• The pandas are back!
• "The Dude" vibes the kiddo gives while wearing her new rainbow unicorn robe
